House Mouse Card Creation – Fun in the Sun

Here’s my first post. I created this card for my little girl Carolyn who is 1.5 years old.  She just started school (daycare) this past week and I made her this fun card because we thought she was going to have water-play but we mixed up our dates as water-play doesn’t start until this week coming up.  Carolyn was the only one that showed up in her bathing suit.  oops!

I used one of the House-Mouse images on Joanna Sheen’s new 3 CD collection.  I used the polka dot embosser for the two pink card stocks. The flowers were made with one of the EK success paper punches and then rolled up to create the flower.  I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and layered three of  them together and added some string to create a loop and layered it between the butterflies to secure the loop.  The leaves and grass were hand cut and I used a glitter pen to add shimmer to the leaves and the butterfly.  The sandal charm I got today from my local craft store who was having their annual flea market.   I would have liked to have had a frog or a dragonfly charm but, hey, this worked out fine and I’m not going to pass up a bargain.  I am submitting this to the current House Mouse Challenge:HMFMC#147-ANYTHING GOES/WITH A CHARM
